Regen Success Agronomist

Joel became a member of the Continuum Ag team in 2023, taking on the role of Regen Success Agronomist. His dedication shines through in his work, focusing on Farmer agronomic advising, TopSoil Support, and advocating for Carbon Intensity reduction.

Joel’s roots in farming run deep, having grown up on a 2000-acre farm that cultivated corn, soybeans, wheat, canola, and grain sorghum. His family has been at the forefront of regenerative practices for over six years, incorporating elements like cover crops, reduced disturbance, and minimal pesticide use. Their commitment to soil health has led to remarkable transformations on their land. Residing and farming in western Kentucky since 1827, Joel’s family boasts seven generations of stewardship, fostering a profound appreciation for the community and the land they call home.

Education-wise, Joel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from Murray State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sustainable Agriculture from the same institution. With 14 years of hands-on experience at Reddick Farms, His journey also includes research-based internships with Bayer Crop Science and Murray State, as well as a teaching fellowship in Ghana with Agricorp.

Joel’s accomplishments extend beyond the farm, as evidenced by his recognition with the Leopold Conservation Award in Kentucky in 2022. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy cruising in their jeep and has a passion for tractor-pulling with friends.
