Exciting Growth for Continuum Ag: Continuum Ag Leads Carbon Intensity Charge with Backing from Top Ag Venture Capital Firms

Mitchell Hora- CEO & Founder of Continuum Ag

Washington, IA – Continuum Ag is operating full speed ahead helping family farms profit from improved soil health.  Founded by 7th generation Iowa farmer, Mitchell Hora, the soil health software company has had a big 2023.

Today, Continuum Ag is announcing the initial closing of their Series A investment round, led by Omaha based Venture Capital firm, Grit Road with additional investment from ISA Ventures, Ag Ventures Alliance, and SVG Thrive. Continuum has also secured Propel funding through the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The new capital will be used to build out the sales and marketing teams, and continue to launch new features to the TopSoil® software platform.

“I’m honored to have the support of such great venture capital groups,” says Founder/CEO Mitchell Hora “I never originally intended to raise venture capital and scale a global software company.  We’ve been able to navigate emerging opportunities and team with the right players to help us accomplish our goals and help family farms profit from improved soil health.”

Continuum recently hosted their 5th annual summer event, this year rebranded to the TopSoil® Summit.  The summit, hosted in Riverside, IA, featured 250 guests from more than 15 states and 3 countries.  Key announcements from the summit include:

  • Unveiling of the Carbon Intensity Tool.  Carbon intensity is quickly becoming the hottest new topic in the sustainable ag space and Continuum is poised to lead the charge helping farmers quantify, improve, verify, and monetize their carbon intensity score.
  • Collaborations with Dr. Jerry Hatfield and Dr. Rick Haney
  • New advisors including Rick Clark, Dave Hansaker, and Dave Stamp

“Carbon intensity has me freaking out,” says Hora. “Farmers and biofuel companies can work together to massively boost new revenues and increase the adoption of soil health systems, such as cover crops.”
