TopSoil Connect – The Latest Innovation from Continuum Ag

TopSoil Connect

Farm data quantified in a scientifically rigorous manner is a valuable asset. For years, Continuum has utilized our TopSoil software to help farmers participate in 3rd Party Programs. We’ve been able to secure an average payout of $20 per acre- that translates to millions of dollars in additional value secured for our participating farmers. Data is the key to unlocking these additional value opportunities, and TopSoil Connect is all about finding data-based value for our growers. The process is simple – enter your data in one place, and we connect you with program options.

We are still leading the charge on 45Z and continuing to pursue supply chain opportunities for your grain and its carbon intensity metrics. Our team is also working to aggregate additional opportunities, including government cost-share programs, corporate sustainability initiatives, and carbon inset/offset programs. These additional opportunities may be stackable with Carbon Intensity markets. In other words, you could monetize various aspects of your practice data to multiple programs.

To help your dollar go a little further, all TopSoil Connect customers will also be given exclusive access to special offers and discounts on products and services through our Preferred Partner network. Preferred Partners are vetted to ensure their products and services bring value to the Continuum Ag farmer network, and we are excited to expand this collaborative network.

As always, Continuum farmers own and control their data- we just want to help you monetize it!

Here’s How TopSoil Connect Works:

  • Create an account and fill out your Farm Profile on TopSoil.Ag
A farm profile gives us a general idea of your farming operation and helps us identify potential programs you may qualify for. Plus, you can see your estimated CI Score for free!

  • Enroll in TopSoil Connect
For just $3/ acre, we can take your data management to the next level and connect you with opportunities to monetize your farming efforts. Special pricing is available if you get in touch with our sales team by June 1st and mention this article.

  • Log your farming activities in the Data Summary on TopSoil
The crop year begins after last season’s harvest- be sure to log any post-harvest activities for the 2025 Crop Year. Entering the activities as you go will help solidify program eligibility and keep your reporting accurate.

  • Email evidence to support your activity log to Data@Continuum.Ag
While the level of evidence required will vary by program, we’ve found that the best practice is to submit the best available evidence for each activity logged in TopSoil. Higher value programs will typically require a higher level of evidence. Our Operations Team will provide a checklist of evidence types to steer you in the right direction.

  • Work with our Operations Team to fill in any gaps
After we receive your supporting evidence, a Continuum employee will review your data and walk you through any additional program-specific requirements.

Continuum Ag continues to advocate for agriculture and diligently seeks as many opportunities as possible to ensure we meet our company mission to help 1 million farmers improve their profitability via improved soil health. These programs and partners aim to bring financial and soil health-building value to your operation, and we are honored to help facilitate the exchange!
